What subjects do you teach in your workshops?
At Magenta Sky we teach a variety of subjects and topics, but primarily printmaking (such as linocut, drypoint, woodcut, monoprint, collograph, screenprinting) as well as other creative topics such as drawing. We are constantly coming up with new subjects to teach so keep an eye on our workshops pages to see the current list available for booking. I also teach crochet but further details of this can be found on my other website: www.iSAYcrochet.com
How do I book a workshop?
If you wish to book a workshop that we already have listed, then go to the relevant page for that workshop and follow the booking instructions on there. Where we are taking bookings directly there will be either a paypal button that you click on to make payment through paypal (you can add more than one course at a time) or a downloadable booking form. In some cases e.g. Farnham Maltings, they take the bookings directly themselves so call the number for the venue to speak to their own box office or visit their website.
Do you teach children?
Unfortunately no. We teach adults over the age of 16 only.
Do you have a newsletter?
Yes – we send out a regular newsletter with latest course dates, updates, tips on printmaking, recent articles and general creative information. To join the newsletter please complete the box on the right hand side of the website (or further down if you are browsing on a phone or tables) of the website or visit our newsletter page.
I run an art group and would like a tutor to visit us and teach a course – do you do this?
We certainly do. We love visiting art groups and new art venues to run our courses. Please visit our classes 4u page to find out more. We can work with small or large groups and provide 2-hour to full day workshops depending on your requirements. We don’t need much space… just enough tables and chairs for the people attending, access to a sink and electric sockets.
Can I study any of your courses from home?
We currently offer an Introduction to Printmaking course as a distance learning course. All other courses are available to attend in Surrey, Hampshire and Wiltshire. If you have a large space to work and a few friends that are interested we could always come to you. See our classes 4u page for more info!
What are postage costs for your book Learning Linocut?
Postage and packaging for the book learning linocut is £2,50. This includes packaging and delivery to the UK only. The price on this website is reduced from £16.99 to £14.99. The book is usually shipped within 24-48 hours and comes signed by the author!
What are your terms and conditions / refund policy for booking courses?
Please see the terms and conditions for full details. We usually request full payment in advance for all courses to guarantee a space. Refunds available under special circumstances or as per the terms and conditions.
Do you ship the relief printing press to locations outside of the UK?
