About Our Face-toFace Printmaking Courses and Workshops
Our 2-hour to full-day courses and workshops are fun and friendly art classes, designed to introduce basic printmaking processes and techniques that you can continue at home after the classes have finished.
Whether you have previous drawing, printmaking or painting experience or just fancy trying something completely new to you then our classes are for you!
Each session that we teach begins with a clear demonstration on a particular technique or topic, followed by plenty of time to explore and experiment, with guidance and help at every stage. By sharing comments and ideas between the group it helps everyone involved at whatever level of experience to develop their own work and discuss with like-minded people. We are always amazed by the volume of work produced in such a short period of time!
For most of our courses, basic tools and materials are included in the booking price – we just ask you to bring along yourself and a few ideas! Where this is different, the course information will tell you so.
On our drop-down menu are listed the current available courses and workshops. Click on each section to see the available dates and subjects and to book online. Some of these courses are booked via the venue and some are booked on this website. Once you have booked with us, we will send you a welcome letter, receipt and confirmation email detailing the course, venue, date and time and what to bring. Where you book with a venue directly they will send you tickets / confirmation information.
Where a course does not have an available date on the website please contact us to join our newsletter and we can let you know when new dates will be added. We currently teach in and around Surrey, Hampshire and Wiltshire on a regular basis, but if you run a venue or have a group of 6 or more people we can travel further and come to you (we call these parties!). Click here for information.
Our creative classes and workshops consist of a variety of different techniques including printmaking, sewing, patchwork, crochet, fabric embellishment, bag making and drawing. Sometimes a workshop will teach a specific technique in detail and sometimes it will focus on a theme or a project to make an item by the end of the session. We are always coming up with new ideas and courses so keep an eye out for our latest dates!
