Distance Learning Course - Terms and Conditions

 

The terms and conditions below and on our website www.magenta-sky.com are the basis of the contract between Magenta Sky – ‘The Printmaking Academy’ ("Magenta Sky") and yourself (the “Student”).

1. All training materials, tuition and education provided by Magenta Sky remains at all times the sole copyright of Magenta Sky and Susan Yeates.

Legal action will be taken against any person(s) who infringe the copyright of Magenta Sky by distributing the information contained within our training materials and courses, or part thereof, either through reselling or distributing the information through any method, electronic or otherwise, including public performance of any kind.

2. Enrolment on Magenta Sky distance learning courses can be made online via our website (www.magenta-sky.com), via telephone or manual enrolment form. In making payment for your course, in full or in part, you will have agreed to these terms and conditions, which can also be viewed online at www.magenta-sky.com/terms.html

3. Your distance learning course application will be successful once we receive cleared payment for either the full course fee or minimum deposit if paying by installments. At this point your enrolment will be complete and this is deemed to be your enrolment date for your chosen course.

4. The deposit is non-refundable for students paying for their distance learning course by installments and where the full fee has been paid, any refund following cancellation in writing will be minus the same deposit amount. For example, for the ‘Introduction to Printmaking’ Distance Learning Course, the non-refundable deposit part of any payment made is £97.00 and will not be returned under any circumstances. In addition, there may also be a charge for course materials and tutor time as appropriate.

5. Students who have made an agreement to pay in installments for their distance learning course understand that this is an agreement to pay the full amount stated on the relevant course literature and our website over the agreed period.

6. After 28 days from enrolment on a Magenta sky distance learning course no refund will be given to students who, for whatever reason, cancel or fail to complete the course.

7. Non distance learning courses / workshops only – Once you have booked and paid for a Magenta Sky ‘live’ course or workshop, cancellation will be subject to the separate terms and conditions that can be found at www.magenta-sky.com/printmakingclasses.html

8. The benefits of membership of the ‘Magenta Sky Printmaking Academy’ as listed on our website will only continue whilst we are in receipt of the £4.97 monthly membership payment. Upon non payment by the member, we will cancel membership and withdraw all benefits. Likewise, we reserve the right to amend the benefits of Academy membership with 28 days notice.

9. The free membership offer to the ‘Magenta Sky Printmaking Academy’ for students enrolled on our distance learning courses is effectively unlimited, but for legal reasons we have to nominally limit the service to a fixed period of 12 months.

10. Magenta Sky reserves the right to remove from any course, students who fail to comply with its standard practices and procedures. Magenta Sky also reserves the right to refuse enrolments, or suggest alternative arrangements, if it believes it will not be in the best interest of the company, other participants or the individual concerned to attend a Magenta Sky course.

11. For UK students assessments will be conducted via post. For non-UK students, assessment will be photograph based and performed via email (clear instructions are provided with course materials).
