Flexible Study
The distance learning printmaking course allows you to learn the art of printmaking in a clear, logical manner and at a pace that suits you. The 12 study modules can be studied at home and will steadily progress both your printmaking knowledge and skill using the key printmaking techniques.
Personal Tuition
Just like being in one of our printmaking classes, you will have a dedicated tutor available to contact via telephone or email to answer any questions that you may have whilst studying the distance learning course.
Course Assessment and Certification (Optional)
There are several assignments set throughout the course which you can complete and submit for assessment. Students who complete all of the assessments to the required standard will receive a ‘Certificate of Achievement’.
Excellent Value
Since the printmaking techniques that we teach do not require a printing press, there is no need to hire studio space or spend additional money on expensive printmaking tools. In addition, we include a starter set of printmaking materials with your course package, so that you have everything you need to get started as a printmaking artist.
Printmaking Academy Membership
All students of our distance learning course automatically become members of our printmaking academy for FREE (usually costing £59.64 per year), providing the following benefits:
- 10% discount on all printmaking tools and materials ordered from us
- Your own hosted webpage to showcase your work if you wish
- Optional inclusion in our printmaker directory
- Access to our printmaking community forum
- Quarterly Magenta Sky 'Fresh off the Press' printmaking newsletter
Once enrolled, you can access all of the above features in your own time as you develop as a printmaker and master the various printmaking techniques.

J.Burrows (Farnham)
"Just wanted to pass on my thanks to Susan for her fantastic printmaking class that has just finished at the electric theatre in Guildford. I enjoyed it very much thanks to Susan’s energy, enthusiasm and encouragement especially when some of us found the going difficult (Drypoint and the concept of reduction techniques in lino). I found myself pushed into new areas and discovered new ways to express my interest in nature and natural form. More courses please...."
T.P. (Surrey)
"I looked forward to every class. I was able to explore and focus my ideas. I stuck to keeping it simple. I enjoyed being part of a class and sharing and appreciating other people's work. I enjoyed being in a creative environment. Excellent!."
