One Day Printmaking Workshop @ Farnham Maltings, Farnham. January 2016
This one-day workshop will explore relief printing with a press onto paper. Relief printing is a collection of negative techniques where the block e.g. wood/lino, is cut into and the area that is uncut is what prints. The final print will be a ‘mirror image’ of the original plate. We will look at some example work, show you how to prepare your image, cut the lino or wood, apply ink and most importantly get printing! Each technique will be clearly explained and demonstrated followed by plenty of time to experiment.
